What has happened so far?

Early 2020

We started reaching out to the community to better understand how people use Route 40 and how they get to and from the project corridor.

Spring 2021

We reached out to the community, key stakeholders, and our advisory boards to share our preliminary designs and gather feedback.

Summer 2021

We shared our first draft of our preliminary designs for the entire corridor, which included our focus areas in Westlake, Fremont, Ballard, and North Seattle.

Spring/Summer 2022

We gathered feedback from the community and advisory boards on some updates to our preliminary designs at six key intersections along the corridor in Westlake, Fremont, and Ballard.

Summer 2023

We gathered feedback from the community and advisory boards on our updated refined designs throughout the project corridor.

Fall 2023

Through fall 2023, the project team met with business owners and property owners along the corridor to answer questions about the project.

Our team will soon start preparing for construction in 2024. Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback on the project!
